Indian cuisine stands out as one of the most delicious in the world, and also one of the most diverse due to the different ingredients available in each region, as well as the ethnic and cultural influences, along with various invasions back in the colonial-era.
Because of this, it can be difficult to truly grasp all the intricacies of this outstanding cuisine unless you’ve grown-up with and also studied it.
Our resident Indian Chef, Kurshid Khan, is just such a person, having been born in Dehradun and studying his country’s cuisine from a young age. He’s been working in kitchens for almost 20 years now, performing his culinary magic at J.W. Marriott, Intercontinental and Grand Hyatt hotels in Mumbai.
Moving up the ranks saw him leave his home for Dubai and Abu Dhabi before landing in Thailand and joining us back in late 2010 to lead the charge on all aspects of our resort’s Indian cuisine.
Now with us for seven years, you’ll find his gentle demeanor and kind heart either at our own Tin Mine grill house, or manning his tandoor at our Sunday Brunch, making sure that your favourite Indian dishes are served with 100% authenticity and deliciousness.
